Amazing book! My kids love it! We have it in school for our students (we use the books for our Alef Bet learning program - the hints help the children learn the letter shapes and sounds) and I see how the children love going back to the stories even after knowing their letters. They especially like finding their Hebrew names in the book and of course they love the adorable illustrations. We keep a copy in the classroom library - it's the most popular book! The stories have great messages in them - middot tovot, hebrew language, problem solving... and they're so funny! Finally, I bought the book for Chanukah for my own family - all ages, even the older ones, were reading it and laughing out loud. It's over a month since we got the book and the children are still reading it- again and again! There are stories for around the year i.e. Pey Purim, Lamed Lulav (sukkot) and milestones i.e. Samach Siddur (boy's first haircut)... My family thought the Purim and Pesach stories were hysterical! It's a great book and a great value considering there are 12 individual stories. Well done!Product details

After reading volume 1 almost every night, my kids have been begging to get volume 2 and they can't get enough of ziggawat! My 4 year old now knows his Alef bais and my 3 year old knows it too ) really fun stories, kids learn their letters while learning great middos and enjoying funny bedtime stories with great picturea all at the same time! As a special education teacher and speech therapist I have also 'borrowed' this book from my kids and have used it with my students who did not know the Alef bais and now know them just from reading this book! Amazing!!! We love ziggawat!! Thank you! )
After anxiously waiting for volume 2 since we finished every story in volume 1, this book did not disappoint. We gave this book to our daughter on the first night of chanukah, 2 and a half weeks ago, and it is still by far the most popular book in our library. Our daughter asks us to read us the stories every single night, and is quickly learning the second half of the Alef Beis. She is more than thrilled to point to the girl with the same name as hers. The stories are funny, interesting, educational, and with a good message. (And tonight, when we couldn't find the book, she requested to read volume 1, which we couldn't do because my 2 year old has taken it as his own and was busy "reading it"). These are stories which can be (and are) read again and again, and are enjoyable for both kids of all ages, and the grown ups who are reading to them!
I bought volume one for my nieces and nephews and they absolutely love it so I was so excited when the second book came out! As soon as volume two came out I bought it and sent it to them. They are so happy with it! One of the many reasons this book is so great is that it is for many ages. My 2 year old nephew sits and "reads" the pictures, my 4 year old niece reads the letters and pictures and the older Nieces and nephews can read the story on their own and still gain from the middos in the book even if they already know the aleph bais. They are already asking me for the next book!!! The stories are so great and also adaptable to all ages. A truly age appropriate book for many ages. I am a special education teacher and when I saw the great values, lessons, and educational value this book has it was the perfect choice!
Bought this book for my 5 year old 2 weeks ago. it has 12 stories. each like a book on its own so its like i got 12 books in 1. So far it is the only thing she wants to read. every night we read a different story or 2. the funny thing is every time i start reading this my 10 yr old creeps in to listen too. This is the first book I've read (and we read a lot) that they will actually laugh out loud at the Hilarious scenarios played out in some of the stories. they have 2 favorites the "Kuf" and "Pey". the stories border on the hilarious, but still manage to convey moral lesson that i as a parent have a hard time explaining to my kids. for instance the lesson of "suf" is Savlanus (patience). This was a great buy and will definitely become one of our favorites.
